Innovation Symposium (PRIS)

Information centre

We look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming Postgraduate Research and Innovation Symposium (PRIS).  Please read the following information carefully:

Registration will take place from 7h00 – 8h30
 
You will register at Station D, which is located on the upstairs (foyer next to T1)

  • Once registration is completed, go straight to your allocated venue.
  • There will be a student assistant ready to upload your presentation.
  • Please note, presenters allocated to T2 have to upload their presentation before 8h20.

 

Transport arrangements are as follows:

PMB campus:

  • Morning – Two buses will leave from outside the front of Rabie Saunders Building, Carbis Rd Campus, at 06h30 sharp (start loading from 6h00).
  • Afternoon – Buses will start loading at Main Hall from 17h30 and leave at 18h00.


HC campus:

  • Morning –  One bus will leave from the MTB bus stop at 07h00 sharp (start loading from 6h30).
  • Afternoon – Buses will start loading at Main Hall from 17h30 and leave at 18h00.

Registration will take place from 7h00 – 8h30
 
You will register at Station E, which is located on the upstairs (foyer next to T1)

  • Once registration is completed, go straight to your allocated poster board.
  • There will be a student assistants who will be on the floor to assist you.
  • You will be given materials in your registraion bags to secure your posters to the boards.
  • The layout will at the registration desk and on the walls.
  • Your poster number will be on the board.

PLEASE NOTE THAT LUNCH FOR POSTER PRESENTERS WILL BE FROM 12h00 – 13h00.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE AT YOUR POSTER BOARD DURING THE POSTER VIEWING AND JUDGING TIMES FROM 13h00 – 14h00.

  • Time for setup: From 6h45 in the morning. Stands should be completed by 7h30
  • Breakdown of stands: Start from 15h00
  • Show the exhibitors pass to security and they will allow you to park closer to the venue.

You can refer to the programme to see what will take place and how to plan your day.

The layout will be sent on the 24 October (once the actual setup is completed) and will also be available at the venue.

We would like exhibitors to attend the end of the Prize Giving session taking place in T1. We will be giving all exhibitors a certificate of participation (one rep from each exhibition needs to come down to collect the certificate).

All exhibitors are welcome to attend the various sessions.

On arrival, please go to Registration station A, located at the entrance of T-Block (Downstairs).

Please note that the judges briefing will be at 08h20 sharp in T2, by Professor Akshay Saha.  This session will inform you about the judging process and is compulsory for all judges.

Lunch for poster judges only will be 12h00 – 13h00. Poster judging will take place from 13h00 – 14h00.

You will proceed to Station B if your are a staff member and Station F if you are a student for Registraion.
